Preparing for Your First Class

Everything you need to know to feel confident and prepared

What to Bring

Clothing

Wear comfortable athletic wear that allows for movement and grip:

  • Shorts or leggings (shorts are ideal for better grip)
  • Sports bra or fitted top
  • Bare skin is needed for grip on the pole

What to Avoid

  • Long sleeves and long pants (they prevent grip)
  • Lotions, oils, or moisturizers on your skin
  • Jewelry that could scratch the pole or get caught

Preparation Tips

  • Arrive a few minutes early to get settled
  • Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated
  • Wear comfortable, non-slip socks if you prefer
  • Complete your waiver and health questionnaire before class
